Sunday, June 7, 2009 I was lucky enough to go to Milan to attend a photography workshop glamor / beauty, my first. Organized by a photographer very nice and capable, good Joseph Circhetta . Thanks to its experience and its staff has been able to shed light on many questions that often dwell in a simple lover of photography like me.
He spends much time on books, manuals and forums around the web. But then he saw the little free time, he often neglects elmento that allows you to fully understand and embrace the theories absorbed given to us by reading, turning the concept into practice through such and then shooting over.
experience rewarding and revealing, not so much for shooting products below have the Possibility to see them, but a small step back, one can see a lot of preparatory work behind the photo.
Too often I find myself sinking and suffocating in technicalities that ultimately distract attention from what is really the picture.
Sorry for the verbosity and the earnest childlike wonder with which I write this, but I remember clearly disruptive and the role of the photographer. He is not the only one who merely set the camera for slightly better light, defining the edges the universe exists only at that moment approaching the eye to eye, then stopping moments. It's not just the one who sets the timer with its pressure on the shutter button. It's not just one who through a modern digital scanner which engages a target, defines the possible compression of the plans, the depth of field, the amount of blur.
As a skilled tailor prepares a dress, the photographer prepares the final image supervisonandone carefully every aspect.
The tailor could simply put together by sewing the pieces that make up the dress, but would pay attention to only part of his work. Narrowing its field of action in the mere act of sewing the fabrics together and most probably have maybe a dress impeccably finished, but lacking that little extra that could make it really special. If he wanted to produce a truly unique leader, should first of all you have in mind that aspires to build ... will be an evening dress or casual dress? It will be worn by a man or a woman? It will be a head summer or winter? His expertise will then be measured in the most appropriate choice of fabric on his project. So how should carefully choose the most appropriate techniques for spinning. And at the end, having fulfilled one of the chain of essential tasks and personal choices, can devote to the final stage of its production, or the seam at its true.
The photographer for its part, must first of all pre-visualize the image he intends to produce. Contact and choose a model, relying on a make up artist for makeup and hair style, relying on a stylist for the clothes, choose the most appropriate location, scanning the Variara of light depending on the time of day. Choose the equipment with which it will resume the scene. It will be a proper wide angle lens or short telephoto?
And finally, after having organized its resources wisely, mixing them in an appropriate manner potrocedera ' the shooting itself. Capturing the beauty of the model. In this case the beautiful and talented Sarah.

In a workshop
very often there is merely following the part of the shooting. That is my opinion the easiest part of all the work. Just knowing how to use a camera in any way moderate. But paying attention to the boundary elements that compose it, you can learn more valuable than mere shooting.
Thanks to Joseph Fabrizio, Alex and the beautiful Sara!
